We bought the firigidaire gas range because it met our positively basic wishes for a cooking range. One of persons things was grates on the top with the intention of extend from the front to back burner. Another was a unit with the intention of would be durable (good history for repairs).Within 4 months, the grates were chipping all ended and rusting where they chipped. The grates were replaced "as a courtesy" because showy defects are not covered below the warranty. With 3-4 months, the new grates chipped. Figidaire is "very sorry" keep for this is currently our problem because it is only showy. Lee, the Frigidaire supervisor, continued to "be sorry" keep for was completely unhelpful. He denied consequential of this problem, keep for interestingly had information of what caused it (fill up). It is a oven grate and does need to be wiped (by gently dish detergent and fill up) on occasion. - Reasonable Consumer
