I got this stove in ahead of schedule February and by May I by now be inflicted including a poker chip in the cooktop.I don't know just so as it happened but I don't feel like I've done something that should be inflicted including caused a poker chip. I guess my 20-year-old, poker chip-free, glass-top stove that it replaced wasn't so bad after all. If the GE benefit person thinks you dropped something on it rather than that it "just chipped", however that is ascertained I don't know, then the charge is in this area half the price of a new stove to repair it. In calling it's valuable to not let a benefit person be scheduled before clarifying whether the repair is covered by the warranty or not. The first person I spoke to assumed it was until I pressed the question. In the end, it wasn't.

My 2 yr old oven-top glass horrified into a million pieces. I have been fighting with GE for very nearly two months currently and even though they recognize it is their fault and with the intention of the glass was faulty, they wont do anything to help me besides yield me $100 off of the bill. Of way if I accept the $100 off, it will still be ended $300 to fix and I will have no warranty WHEN it happens ended again. If you are considering any GE product, dont buy it. Their appliances are terrible and they wont do anything for you if a touch happens.

Just got this oven I must say it has tons of features including the warming drawer (with three temp settings) and steam clean + the habitual cleaning modes. For the price you can't beat this oven I just hope it holds up as well as our old oven of 15 years which was made by Caloric and is no longer in business. We did compare this model to a samsung which seemed nice but had very bad reviews. The stainless does show fingerprints but is easy to clean. Just a note it also includes the convection cooking modes.
