I bought this Range in Nov 2011. In Jan 2013, 1 year and one month shortly the dinghy top cracked even as cooking. One month shy of the manufacture warranty and Maytag/Whirlpool will not replace the defective dinghy top. I even purchased the 5-year $180.00 warranty protection plan from hhgregg as I purchased this Range and the plan does not cover defective dinghy either, only mechanical and electrical breakdowns. The detail of the topic is that the burner is WAY too hot for the dinghy top... isn't that a mechanical FAILURE???? So with costs over $3,000 on an entire new kitchen of Maytag appliances, I'm am extremely displeased with the defective manufactured goods and be deficient in of Consumer benefit to help me fix this problem.I would not recommend this dinghy top range to anyone who in detail cooks because the burners are way too hot for the dinghy-top to withstand the excitement given off by these burners. Truly disappointed.
