Back control panel featured open design when purchased in 2011---newer design has panel covered---my panel melted, when I complained to Frigidaire customer service, they told me that no one else complained & that there is no recall. So as long as there is no recall its considered to be because of misuse with pots. So the new design is supposed to be a coincidence, reeeeally! Won't by a Frigdaire product again!!!

I purchased this Frigidaire Certified 30" gas range (FPGF3081KF) to exchange my parents' aging GE oven which barely survived the Prayer celebration. We are a family tree of french cooks, including a certified executive chef with international cooking experience. For us, a good feature oven is important in any household. Former to my hold, I set my requirements based on the following criteria:Oven Requirements:* 30-in width, free standing* Median burner w/cast-iron griddle/grill* Gas burners* Convection oven* Warming or baking drawer* Stainless* Dependable brand for daily gray use* Monetary proclamation below $1400Initially, I was focusing on the GE Profile run. A accurate supporter owns a GE Profile with the eyeglasses listed higher than and paid almost $1900 for his. He has had it for 4 being and has been exceptionally satisfied with it. Even if I actually liked the look and capabilities of the GE Profile run, the develop I sought after was out of my fee range. During a visit at my community BestBuy, I came in a roundabout way the Frigidaire Arcade and Certified run, and was impressed with the feature of the ranges. I began my investigate and was impressed with many of the reviews.Over the Black Friday weekend, I found a GE Profile baffle develop at BestBuy for $1299, and this Frigidaire Certified, brand new, for $1053. Comparing apples to apples, the GE Profile was not value the extra $246, so I unbendable on the Frigidaire.Assess - Clear Clarification:(We have only had this oven for just over a week, but have used it heavily and have tested all of the facial appearance. So far, this oven has passed every test with short insignia.)* The by and large impression is that this is a gray duty and certified feature oven. Not anything feels cheap.* The relentless grates allows best power of the pots and pans on the oven-top, and seem to be of high feature.* The burners are very responsive and burn at a much higher intensity than our before oven.* The burner knobs are made of metal (as a replacement for of fake), which gives the oven that extra amount of certified feature.* The stainless steel close is not a fingerprint magnet. The black oven top hides dirt when cooking, and is easy to sterile.* The PowerPlus burner drastically decreases the time it takes us to boil fill up. The high intensity of this burner works very well with better pots.* The customizable oven racks, including the slide-out feature of the underside rack are actually useful! Having that underside rack slide out about 6 inches towards you as you open the oven door actually helps lower the opportunity of being paid burnt.* Warming drawer is an extra bonus, and kept a roasted chicken well heated at the peak setting, lacking drying it out.* The focal point burner with w/cast-iron grill allowed us to cook skewered steak to perfection!* The oven and timer controls are easy to follow, once you've glanced at the blue-collar.Assess - Unenthusiastic Clarification:* When using the oven at high temperatures, some of the burner knobs tend to get actually hot. Even if I did not burn for myself figuring this out, it's value noting for next time.* The oven warmth pre-sets buttons (Pizza, Nuggets) were less useful than I anticipated. The Pizza pin is point at a warmth of 425 degrees, which is not high ample for pizza. To by the book cook a a second ago-made pizza on a pizza marble, the oven desires to be set at 500 or higher.* As other users have indicated, the chief burner (17,000/500 BTU), does not have much mid-range. It's any very intense, or very low. I didn't see this automatically as a unenthusiastic, because we were able to chat our cooking according to the oven's capabilities.By and large, I am very make lucky with this hold. Not only did I stay not more than my monetary proclamation, but I ended up with a certified grade oven which more than serves our purpose. Let's just hope my clear feelings wait the same in a year from now!

Purchased this array as an upgrade from a GE gas array that was difficult to use in FL heat due to heat loss. This indeed resolved the come forth, looks very nice, facility well at all burners. Even if, the unit was delivered with defect in notebook panel. Replacement took a few weeks but was handled below warranty and the unit still worked well. Then at installation, notebook panel was establish not work with oven set alight. New replacement panel took a month to turn up. Still, the unit worked fine lacking the set alight. After less than a full year, black enamel go up ongoing to show yellowing from lack of even shine. This was very modest at at the start, but has twisted into a big visual defect as it starts to grow around burners and by the side of heated surfaces. The go up was permanently cleaned after use with non harsh cleaner (and it was easy to sterile compared to 8 year old GE) and I am certain that now the yellowing will take up again wherever here are food spills and heated surfaces. Looks terrible since it appears as even if the go up is grimy. I would not urge this unit nor any Frigidaire manufactured goods that uses the same enamel stylishness go up top. Consumer care at Frigidaire indicates that go up defects are flashy and not enclosed by warranty and they had no pledge for the come forth. I feel that a $1,000 array must look good with genteel care for the life of the array, indeed a lot more than one year.

I love the oven part of this array. The true convection facility well. The oven top is methodical well, but the "Potential Plus" burner is a huge flaw. This burner, even as well apposite for very high heat tasks such as boiling fill up, has no real array. It goes from 'all on' to 'near off' by turning from "6" to "5". Additional, the burner on its low background facility more like a candle or sterno, concentrating the heat in one area at the median of the pan as a substitution for of distributing it.I even went so far as to send cinema to Frigidaire to see if it was broken, but they incorrigible that it is effective accurately. All in all, I feel like I'm fleeting the use of one burner for most cooking tasks, which is exceptionally disappointing. Without this honest flaw, I would have not compulsory this array to any self.
