Here comes the bride!

Angelina Jolie was spotted for the first time since Thursday's announcement that she and longtime partner Brad Pitt had tied the knot Saturday in a private ceremony at the French estate Chateau Miraval.

Jolie, 39, is in Malta prepping for her and Pitts new film, By the Sea. People reports that her new husband will join her to work on the movie after completing his press duties for his upcoming World War II drama, Fury.

The actress was spotted riding in a boat in Gozo, Malta, on Friday, and was seen wearing what appears to be a wedding ring. Pitt, 50, wore his wedding band Thursday while at a UK photocall for Fury, the same day that the supercouple announced they had gotten married.

Prior to Pitts press duties, he and his new wife enjoyed a honeymoon with their six kids at the estate where they tied the knot, according to E! News

"The honeymoon was a few days enjoying Miraval and how much space they have now," the source said.

As for their post-honeymoon project, Jolie described it as something really small and experimental.

"I wrote something a few years ago for Brad and me," the Oscar winner told People in May about their new film. "Just for fun. Just an independent little art piece. Because we don't get to do those as much as we'd like."

In By the Sea, Pitt and Jolie will play a husband and wife living in the south of France who become sexually obsessed with their neighbors.

Even as Jolie preps for her latest film, she also took time to comment on the humanitarian crisis in Syria, an issue of particular importance to her.

Three million refugees is not just another statistic," Jolie said in a statement regarding those who fled their country in the wake of civil war. "It is a searing indictment of our collective failure to end the war in Syria."

"We need to see a new attempt to resolve the conflict and greater efforts to support more than 13 million Syrians who are in desperate need," she added. "The reputation and credibility of the international system is at stake with so many thousands of lives threatened in Syria."

The Maleficent actress, a special envoy for UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency, visited with Syrian refugees in Lebanon earlier this year.
